Life Story for Dennis Dean Hedrick

Dennis Dean Hedrick, age 70 of Ennice, NC and formerly of Delta, PA, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 28, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born July 6, 1948 in York County, PA to the late Everette Cecil and Lorena Mae Baldwin Hedrick. Dennis married Geraldine M. Kauffman Hedrick on October 23, 1971, and they shared 47 wonderful years together.

Dennis was a long time member and deacon at Welcome Home Regular Baptist Church in Sunnyburn, PA. He was a life time farmer, served in the U.S. Army, worked at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Plant and Atlantic Tractor, was a retired member of the Teamsters Union, and was working part time for Timothy J. Evans Building.

Dennis had a passion for farming, family, and especially his grandkids. He was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed by a host of family and friends. His examples of faith and service to God, hard work, honesty, integrity, and charity will forever live on through his loved ones. His gentle smile, warm hugs, and firm handshakes will always be remembered. His warfare is finally over and his race has run. Now he has joined his brothers and sisters with the Lord and can rest peacefully. Forever with his Savior.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine M. Hedrick, four sons: Cecil Dean Hedrick and wife Katy, Justin Hayes Hedrick, Nathan Elwood Hedrick and wife Alicia, Ryan Donald Hedrick and wife Sarah, one daughter, Amanda Nori Hedrick Smith and husband Courtenay Bucky Smith.

He was the proud “Paw” of ten grandchildren: Christopher Hedrick, Colby Hedrick, Kaelyn Stuart, Mason Stuart, Kayla Hedrick, Leighton Smith, Keagan Smith, Samuel Hedrick, Levi Hedrick, and Aiden Hedrick. Dennis is also survived by three brothers: Curtis Hedrick, James Mack Hedrick, and Charles Hedrick; and six sisters: Marcelene Douglas, Wanda Golden, Verna Price, Dawn Snell, Joann Spurlock, and Fern Kozilski.
